Best Olaplex products

Olaplex is a popular hair care brand that focuses on products that aim to repair hair that has been damaged by bleaching & coloring, styling using heat, mechanically, etc.

Their products are different from what you usually see on the market because they’re not conditioning treatments.

Instead, Olaplex products repair hair on a molecular level by rebuilding and repairing the broken bonds within it, resulting in truly healthier and stronger hair from the inside out.

To achieve this, they use a patented ingredient (Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate) that restores the broken disulfide bonds in damaged hair.

Does Olaplex work?

I’ve been using Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment along with Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment for about one month now, and I can truly see that I’m slowly starting to see the results!

My hair is bleached platinum blonde (almost white), and I also use my flat iron more than I’d like to admit. So, as you may have guessed, my hair is really damaged. Because I have so much breakage, my hair continuously gets shorter and it seems like it’s not growing at all.

So, I decided to try Olaplex. You can only get Olaplex No. 1 & No. 2 as treatments in a hair salon, but they’re pretty pricey. So, I got No. 0 & No. 3 (which have the highest concentration of the patented ingredient that repairs bonds within the retail product line) and I used them together according to the instructions, and left them in my hair overnight. I’ve been doing this for about a month now, and my hair definitely feels stronger and my breakage is reduced (I can really tell after brushing my hair).

I’ll continue using this Olaplex combo and I’ll write an update here with my results.

Now, I’d like to hear from you!
