Is Acure cruelty free? Are Acure products tested on animals?

Yes, Acure is 100% cruelty free.

  • Acure’s finished products are never tested on animals by anyone, anywhere in the world
  • The ingredients used in their products are never tested on animals by anyone, anywhere in the world
  • Acure never commissions or allows any third parties to test their products on animals

Leaping Bunny’s requirements are really strict as they perform independent audits and confirm Acure’s cruelty free status throughout the entire supply chain.

Let’s dive right in!

Is Acure sold in China?

No, Acure products are NOT sold in stores in mainland China.

Animal testing is still mandatory in mainland China, which is why cruelty free brands never sell their products in physical stores there.

Fortunately, Acure is one of those ethical brands that just doesn’t agree to have their products tested on animals.

Why can’t cruelty free brands sell in mainland China?

Animal testing is still happening for products sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Pre-market animal testing is required for all special-use imported products, and non-routine post-market testing on animals may also be done in cases of customer complaints.

However, please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to products sold in stores at the airports, or in Hong Kong.

Also, products can be sold online and shipped to mainland China without being tested on animals.

Is Acure owned by a parent brand? If yes, is it cruelty free?

Acure is a family owned business founded in 2011 by Kristy Guerra and Jon Guerra.

Different online sources suggest that Acure is owned by Better Planet Brands LLC, founded by one of the co-founders of Acure, Jon Guerra.

PETA lists Acure and Better Planet Brands as the same brand.

Is Acure vegan?

Acure is 100% vegan. None of their products contain any animal-derived ingredients or by-products.

This means that every single Acure product is 100% vegan.

Is Acure a sustainable brand?

Yes, Acure follows sustainable manufacturing practices and uses recyclable packaging.

Acure products are part of the TerraCycle® recycling program. By recycling Acure products, you earn points which you can then use to make donations for different organizations of your own choice.

They follow the best sustainability practices across the entire supply chain.

You can read more about the recycling program on Acure’s website.
