No, Good Molecules products are NOT sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Keep in mind that although their products are sold in China online, they still remain cruelty free because animal testing requirements only apply to products sold in physical stores.

Why can’t cruelty free brands sell in mainland China?

Animal testing is still happening for products sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Pre-market animal testing is required for all special-use imported products, and non-routine post-market testing on animals may also be done in cases of customer complaints.

However, please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to products sold in stores at the airports, or in Hong Kong.

Also, products can be sold online and shipped to mainland China without being tested on animals.

Is Good Molecules owned by a parent brand? If yes, is it cruelty free?

Good Molecules is owned by Beautylish.

Beautylish is an online cosmetics store that sells both cruelty free and non-cruelty free products.

Is Good Molecules vegan?

Good Molecules is not 100% vegan.

However, almost all of their products are vegan-friendly.

In fact, the only non-vegan Good Molecules products are: Pineapple Exfoliating Powder (which contains silk powder) and the Hydrate & Cleanse Bar (which contains honey).
