Is LA Colors sold in China?

No, LA Colors products are NOT sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Why can’t cruelty free brands sell in mainland China?

Animal testing is still happening for products sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Pre-market animal testing is required for all special-use imported products, and non-routine post-market testing on animals may also be done in cases of customer complaints.

However, please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to products sold in stores at the airports, or in Hong Kong.

Also, products can be sold online and shipped to mainland China without being tested on animals.

Is LA Colors owned by a parent brand? If yes, is it cruelty free?

LA Colors is owned by Beauty 21 Cosmetics Inc.

Beauty 21 Cosmetics is also cruelty free, and is certified by PETA.

Is LA Colors vegan?

LA Colors is not 100% vegan.

Some LA Colors products do contain animal-derived ingredients or by-products, such as carmine (which is derived from an insect) and lanolin which is derived from sheep’s wool.

However, they do have some vegan products as well. If you’re only interested in vegan products, make sure to always check the ingredient list!
