I have confirmed that:
- Too Faced’s finished products aren’t tested on animals by anyone, anywhere in the world
- The ingredients used in their products are never tested on animals by anyone, anywhere in the world
- Third parties never test Too Faced products on animals
- Too Faced is not sold in mainland China, or in any country where animal testing is still required by law
Too Faced is approved by PETA’s Beauty without bunnies program.

Is Too Faced sold in China?
No, Too Faced products are NOT sold in physical stores in mainland China.
Why can’t cruelty free brands sell in mainland China?
Animal testing is still happening for products sold in physical stores in mainland China.
Pre-market animal testing is required for all special-use imported products, and non-routine post-market testing on animals may also be done in cases of customer complaints.
However, please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to products sold in stores at the airports, or in Hong Kong.
Also, products can be sold online and shipped to mainland China without being tested on animals.
Is Too Faced owned by a parent brand? If yes, is it cruelty free?
Too Faced is owned by Estée Lauder, a company that tests on animals.

Estée Lauder owns some brands that aren’t cruelty free, including Dr. Jart, La Mer, MAC, Clinique and Origins, to name a few.
However, when Too Faced was acquired by Estée Lauder back in 2016, they pledged not to enter any market, such as China, where animal testing is required for cosmetics.
Additionally, following concerns from Too Faced fans, cofounder Jerrod Blandino issued this statement of reassurance:
”My values, morals and heart will never change. I have built my life and my company with love, kindness, positivity and compassion for animals and all of God’s creatures. That will NEVER change. This is way bigger than business for me, it’s my life and my heart at the deepest level. It means everything to me.

So, in conclusion, Too Faced has its own animal testing policy, independent of their parent company, which means they’re still 100% cruelty free.
