No, Marc Jacobs products are NOT sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Why can’t cruelty free brands sell in mainland China?

Animal testing is still happening for products sold in physical stores in mainland China.

Pre-market animal testing is required for all special-use imported products, and non-routine post-market testing on animals may also be done in cases of customer complaints.

However, please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to products sold in stores at the airports, or in Hong Kong.

Also, products can be sold online and shipped to mainland China without being tested on animals.

Marc Jacobs is owned by LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), a French multinational corporation and conglomerate, which is not cruelty free.

Marc Jacobs is not a 100% vegan brand.

However, most of their products actually are vegan.

Marc Jacobs Beauty is cruelty-free, and never tests on animals. And, while the majority of the products are free of animal byproducts, Marc Jacobs Beauty is not considered a vegan line: there are a small number of product ingredients in the line that contain ingredients of animal origin, such as beeswax & carmine.
